CBSE 2027 Date Sheet PDF Update: Before you search for a download link here is the most important fact as of October 20, 2026, the reports I reviewed show that CBSE has not yet published the official Class 10 and Class 12 date sheet for the 2027 board exams. Live blogs and news pages describe it as expected soon and none of them gives an official PDF or a confirmed exam start date.

Download CBSE 2027 Date Sheet PDF Updates: That matters because many pages with titles like CBSE Date Sheet 2027 PDF Download carry only tables of expected dates. If a page offers you a ready PDF today treat it with caution until you see the same file on the official CBSE website.

What Happened Last Year? A Useful Precedent

Looking at the previous cycle helps set expectations

CBSE issued tentative date sheets for the 2026 board exams on September 25, 2025 with both Class 10 and Class 12 exams starting from February 17, 2026.
Those dates were described as tentative with final date sheets to follow after schools submit the final list of candidates.
It was also the first year Class 10 students could sit two board exams in one session.

So the 2027 pattern may be similar a tentative sheet first then a final one. This year though the tentative sheet has not appeared by the date of the reports reviewed. That is why it is worth knowing the difference between the two.

Tentative vs Final Date Sheet Which PDF Should You Trust?

Point	Tentative Date Sheet	Final Date Sheet
Purpose	Lets schools and students plan	Fixed schedule for the exam
Based on	Expected subjects and enrolment	Final list of candidates submitted by schools
Can change?	Yes	Rarely and only by a CBSE notice
Where it appears	cbse.gov.in	cbse.gov.in

If you download a tentative PDF do not book travel or fix plans around it without allowing for change, and always check for a later final version.

How to Download the CBSE 2027 Date Sheet PDF Step-by-Step

Once the date sheet is released follow these steps

Open cbse.gov.in in your browser and choose the Main Website option if you see a language or portal selection screen.
Look on the homepage for the notice titled Date Sheet for Class X, XII Examination 2027 the wording may vary slightly.
Click the link. The PDF will open in a new tab.
Check that the file title says 2027 and the Class you need.
Click Download and save the PDF with a clear name such as CBSE Class 10 Date Sheet 2027.pdf.
Print one copy and keep a second copy on your phone.

Where else to look: Circulars and academic documents including sample papers and the date sheet are also listed on cbseacademic.nic.in. The sources I reviewed name both sites and one mentions cbse.nic.in as well so if one page loads slowly try the other official address rather than a third party site.

Tip for the first hours: The CBSE website can slow down right after a big release. Wait a few minutes try a different browser or try mobile data instead of Wi-Fi.

How to Read the CBSE Date Sheet PDF Like a Pro

A date sheet is more than a list of dates. Here is what to check in order

1. Match Your Subject Codes

Every subject has a code and the sheet is arranged by date. Compare the codes against your registration or admit-card list not just the subject names because similar sounding subjects can fall on different days.

2. Check Timings

Reports suggest that Class 10 exams usually run in the 10:30 AM slot with durations of two to three hours depending on the subject. The final PDF will give the exact timing for every paper.

3. Spot Clashes

If you take an additional subject or an unusual combination look for two papers on the same day. If you find one tell your school immediately so it can be raised with CBSE.

4. Note the Gaps

The gaps between papers are your revision windows. Mark the longest gap and plan a full length revision before your toughest subject.

5. Separate Theory From Practical

The main date sheet covers theory exams. Practical exams are scheduled by your school within the board’s window which reports describe as November to December 2026 for winter bound schools and January to February 2027 for others.

CBSE 2027 Exam Format What Is Reported So Far

Class 10: Reports describe a two-exam system with Phase 1 in February to March 2027 and Phase 2 in May 2027. Students can take Phase 1 or sit both phases to improve scores with the better result counted. Phase 2 subject wise dates are not part of the main sheet in the sources reviewed.
Class 10 marks: 80 theory and 20 practical or internal assessment in each of six subjects as reported.
Passing marks: 33% in each subject with theory and practical each requiring a pass per the sources.
Class 12: Theory exams are expected between February and March or April 2027. Sources are inconsistent on the end month so wait for the official sheet.

Phase 2 for Class 10: Will There Be a Separate PDF?

The sources reviewed say that the schedule for both sessions will be released by the board but they do not agree on whether both will come in one document. One entry suggested Phase 1 and Class 12 would be released together while another said both Class 10 sessions would be released together. Reports add that Phase 2 exams follow the release of Phase 1 results.

What to do: When the sheet comes out check whether the PDF lists only Phase 1 or both phases. If you intend to appear in Phase 2 look for a separate notice with its own dates.

Beware of Fake CBSE Date Sheet PDFs

Every year forged timetables circulate on WhatsApp and Telegram. Protect yourself:

Open the notice only from cbse.gov.in or cbseacademic.nic.in. Type the address yourself rather than tapping a forwarded link.
Never share personal details such as your roll number date of birth or phone number to unlock a PDF.
Be wary of leaked or confirmed dates from pages that cannot show the official notice.
Check the file for the CBSE name the year 2027 a reference number and the date of issue.
Cross-check with your school. Schools receive circulars from CBSE and can confirm authenticity.

LOC and Private Candidates: Deadlines That Affect Your Date Sheet

The final date sheet is based on the List of Candidates (LOC) submitted by schools. Reports mention that

LOC submission was said to begin on September 24, 2026 though a later entry said it would start shortly so the sources conflict.
No LOC deadline was stated in the reports reviewed.
A headline mentions private candidate form filling closing around October 23 with late fees reported until October 30 but the article bodies do not fully confirm this.

If you are a private candidate check the official notice for your category and do not rely on the dates above.

What to Do While Waiting for the CBSE Date Sheet

Use the sample papers on cbseacademic.nic.in which reflect the current pattern.
Build a flexible timetable for February to April and refine it once the sheet is released.
Finish your practicals and internal assessments on time since 20 marks in each Class 10 subject depend on them.
Revise high-weightage chapters in each subject first.
Do timed practice in the exam slot 10:30 AM to train your body clock.
Keep your documents ready: school ID registration details and previous marksheets.

Parents Checklist for the Date Sheet Day
