About the PET Exam Dates Why October 25, 30 and November 1?
The PET exam dates were changed after the first schedule. A Careers360 report dated September 26, 2026 says a notice issued on September 25 moved the written exam

October 25 stayed in both schedules. The report does not give a reason for the change. Each day had two shifts, 10 AM to 12 noon and 3 PM to 5 PM, which gives six shifts in total, matching the six key PDFs.
How many appeared? Two sources, Adda247 and Testbook, give 24,36,253 candidates as having appeared and Testbook adds that the exam was held across 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Careerpower also mentions the 60 districts but it gives no attendance figure. The number is from third-party sites so treat it as reported.

How to Download the UPSSSC PET Answer Key 2026: Step-by-Step
- Visit the official website upsssc.gov.in.
- Open the notification or “what’s new” section and look for the provisional answer key notice for the PET 2026 (Advertisement No. 16-Exam/2026).
- Click the link for the date and shift you attended October 25, October 30 or November 1, in the morning or afternoon shift.
- Download the PDF. If you are asked to log in, use your registration or roll number with your password or date of birth, plus the captcha.

Score = (number of correct answers × 1) − (number of wrong answers × 0.25)

The first example comes from Careerpower and I worked out the other two. These are raw scores. One report (Physics Wallah) says the final key will be published with normalized scores and percentiles, which are used to shortlist candidates for Group C posts. Because PET was held in six shifts, normalization is likely to affect the final figure so your raw score is only an estimate.
An error to avoid: One site’s example 90 correct and 12 wrong adds up to 102 questions which is more than the paper has. Do not copy that example.

What to do: Treat November 8, 2026 as the date to act by, since three sources mention it but do not wait until that day. Open the official notice and read the exact window and fee before you pay. Do not pay through a link from a message or a coaching site.

According to one report the final key will be issued after the commission verifies the objections and the result will follow. Both dates are only expectations and the commission may change them.
UPSSSC PET Cut-Off 2026 What to Expect
The PET is an eligibility test. Its score is used to decide who can apply for Group C recruitments in Uttar Pradesh, according to one report and it is not a direct job selection. The commission has not published the cut-off in the reports I reviewed.
Testbook has posted expected cut-off ranges by category such as 72 to 78 for General but these are estimates by a coaching site not official figures. I have not reproduced the full table.
