KEA Karnataka Examinations Authority Website: What You Need to Know
KEA Karnataka Examinations Authority Website Updates: If you are a student parent or job aspirant in Karnataka you will use the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) website at several points to apply for entrance exams, download admit cards check results and take part in counselling and seat allotment. The problem is that several web addresses are used for KEA services and fake portals have copied KEA’s look in recent years. This guide puts the official information in one place so you can find what you need and avoid scams.
KEA Karnataka Examinations Authority Website: I could not open KEA’s own pages from my research environment so the details below come from news reports and education websites. Where a detail comes from a non official site I say so. Always confirm addresses and dates on KEA’s official portal.

What Is KEA?
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is a government body of Karnataka that conducts centralised examinations for higher education admissions and certain recruitment tests in the state. A third party admissions site describes its functions as follows
- Conducting entrance tests such as KCET also called UGCET, PGCET and DCET
- Running centralised counselling and seat allotment through the Common Seat Allocation Process (CSAP)
- Document verification and fee regulation for government quota seats
- Enforcing the state’s reservation policy in admissions
- Counselling for NEET-based admissions and other courses according to the same site
KEA also conducts recruitment exams and the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) as shown in its 2026 calendar below.
KEA Official Websites Which Address Is for What?
Reports reviewed name more than one KEA web address. Here is how they appear
| Web address | What reports say about it |
|---|---|
| cetonline.karnataka.gov.in | The main KEA portal. KEA’s own warning about fake admit cards, as reported names this as the site to use. KSET and PGCET reports also point to it |
| keaonline.karnataka.gov.in | Used for KCET/UGCET 2026 result pages, according to a June 2026 report |
| karresults.nic.in | Listed as a site to download rank cards and results |
| kea.kar.nic.in | An older address widely used in past years. One third party page still lists it as the official site but a 2026 report does not confirm it as a current result site |
What this means: Newer reports mostly point to cetonline.karnataka.gov.in as the entry point. If an older page tells you to use another addres start from cetonline.karnataka.gov.in and follow the links and check for notices on the home page.
A careful note: I could not verify the domains directly so do not treat my table as an official list. If you are in doubt search for KEA’s own X (Twitter) announcements or ask your school or college office.

KEA Exam Calendar 2026 From a Third Party Page
A Physics Wallah page published in February 2026 lists these dates. Confirm them on the official portal.
| Exam | Date |
|---|---|
| KREIS / EMRS | March 1, 2026 |
| PGCET (M.Tech) | March 23, 2026 |
| Recruitment (HK) | February 21, 2026 |
| KCET 2026 | April 22 to 24, 2026 |
| PGCET (MCA and MBA) | May 14, 2026 |
| M.Sc Nursing | July 18, 2026 |
| KSET 2026 | October 11, 2026 |
| M.Pharma | November 21, 2026 |
| UGNEET, PGAYUSH, PGET, Diploma in Pharmacy and others | To be announced at the time of that page |
Conflict on that page: The KCET application deadline appears as February 23 in one place and February 17 in another and a recruitment exam on February 21 falls before one of those deadlines. The page does not explain it so treat the table as a rough guide.

Fake KEA Websites and Links A Real Risk
KEA has had to warn candidates more than once
- 2025: A fake site reported to have been active since April 9, copied KEA’s colours, menus, logo and home page and appeared in searches for “KEA Home. It collected name, mobile number, email, state and course. KEA said it will never ask for application numbers CET numbers or mobile numbers through open web forms. The report did not name the fake domain.
- 2026: For the KCET admit cards KEA posted on its official X account that some miscreants have created fraudulent links that claimed to offer hall tickets while collecting students’ personal information. The advisory was attributed to H. Prasanna, IAS, Executive Director of KEA according to a report.

How to Protect Yourself
- Type the address yourself or use a bookmark. Do not trust sponsored search results.
- Check the domain. Karnataka government portals use .gov.in or .nic.in. This is a guide not a guarantee.
- Never enter your application number, mobile number or OTP on a page you reached from a social media message.
- Do not pay anyone for a guaranteed seat or an early result.
- Verify with KEA’s official announcements, such as its X account or with your school or college office.
- Report suspicious sites to your college and to the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal.
Tips for Using the KEA Website
- Keep your application number password and date of birth in a safe place. You will need them for every stage.
- Save every PDF including the admit card, result and seat allotment letter.
- Use a laptop or desktop for option entry and document uploads if you can.
- Do not wait until the last day. Deadlines for fee payment and reporting can come with little notice, and traffic is heavy on those days.
- Check mock allotments carefully. They help you plan your options but they are not final.
- Follow the official notices. Deadlines may be extended as in the PGCET Round 1 case.
